The weather forecast for this past weekend was quite discouraging, isolated thunderstorms, sporadic rainfall, cloudy, etc., but we decided to forge ahead! and drove up to Camden, my favorite town in Maine. Camden seems to have it all, some great hiking, biking on picturesque country roads, swim holes on lakes or the ocean...that's just a few of the things that I like. We decided to return to Bald Mountain and since it takes a couple of hours to hike up and down, we did Ragged Mountain as well (well, up to Buzzard's Ledge). Afterwards, we took a short drive to the Camden Snow Bowl as there is a public beach across the street from the Lodge. Our friends wanted to show us their find from their last visit to Camden, Shirttail Beach, which is on one of the "fingers" of Megunticook Lake. Afterwards, they took us to a sweet little garden on this road that starts out from Bayview Road in Camden heading out of town to Rockport.

This is the pond ? across from Camden Snow Bowl, it has a small putlic beach, felt great on this muggy day after our hike! |

Beautiful small garden on the road between Camden & Rockport. |

It houses this small chapel, the perfect place for contemplation and reflection. |

Another nice smal swimming area at Shirttail Beach on Megunticook Lake. |
We ended up the day having a brew at King Eider's Pub in Damariscotta!
