Another taste of Quebec....

Well, I'm off again to Quebec....it's been four times this year, in the spring, summer and fall, I think summer being my favorite time to be there.

This building has many of the same features as the Chateau Frontenac but it's much smaller; I believe it's some kind of government office building, it's on the waterfront near the Farmers' Market as well as the train/bus station.

They were offering free tours of this schooner, but I got there way too early and didn't want to wait!

I always have to go and walk up this particular set of stairs that are past Old Quebec and lead up tot he Plains of Abraham.

lovely garden, ugly building which houses the Concorde Hotel?...make sure to check out the rotating restaurant which offers amazing views of the city

I made a new friend as I was walking; someone who's actually is from Quebec, works for the government....she'd painted the face to her left.....

always have to revisit the Parliament building as well....

purple & green combo....like it

love me my sunflowers!

Cartier Street which is runs perpendicular to Grande Alley & St. Jean....working class neighborhood with colorful homes, neat shops and such

If you see a ZONE, go in!  it's got lots of neat kitchen/household stuff/furnishings for very reasonable prices....

Love porches

Zumba on the streets...

haha!

St. Jean Street...where the Gay Pride celebrations were happening

this is pretty cool....an old church converted into a library! (see below)

in the meantime!  I'd rather check this out, ooh la la!

Artists' Gallery down by the Chateau

Lots of boats on the mighty St. Lawrence

A wedding up at the Citadel

I made plans to go out on this boat on an all day excursion to Grosses Isle which is on the St Lawrence, but then it was cancelled due to gusty winds

A balanced lunch...sweet maple sugar pie!
