We walked over to the Museum from South Station which was about two miles. It's a very pleasant walk as you go past one of Boston's parks (the Emerald Necklace?); I'll have to research that later!....and likewise, once we were done at the Isabella Gardner Museum our plan was to have an early dinner in the North End; again, we walked back, stopping at a small bar, The Sevens, on Charles Street for a beer. Leaving there, we passed many handsomely decorated doors; you may recall last month, I did the windowboxes, this time I took pictures of the doors...enjoy and Happy New Year to you all!
and I'm especially enjoying getting around all over Maine! for ideas on where to go, what to do, check out this blog. I've yet to really explore Northern Maine, but I'll get there some day. There's also lots on Quebec, Montreal, Boston, New York City, and Mexico!

Another visit to Boston...this time, we went over to the Isabella Gardner Museum, which was simply amazing. It is unique and eclectic, and in addition to showcasing art, tapestries, furniture and a myriad of other fascinating artifacts from all over the world, it houses one of the most beautiful enchanting gardens I've ever seen. Unfortunately their policy of "No cameras," is strictly enforced, and so, I have no pictures. I'd highly recommend that you visit it this year, and if that's not possible, simply google images of the Museum.
